Ombre Nails?

I have seen a few posts with the most glorious ombre nails in mint green and pale blue and so on. I thought I would try this myself, but I only have pink nail varnish - varying from pale pink to crimson. So I had to pick colours from my existing polish. Well, I'm not sure it was too successful , although my son says it look kinda cool. 

I'll see how it goes in the office today before removing. The darker colour is Boots no 7 Raspberry Mocha, and the lighter is also Boots natural collection Pink Manicure.
