Pitch & Putt and Peas

The sun shone for the afternoon yesterday, so we decided to go to the Pitch & Putt at Cannington. Now I love crazy/mini golf and my putting is very random, but I had no idea what was in store at pitch and putt. I just couldn't get the hang of the wedge or chip or whatever it was called. Luckily, my oldest stepped in and took over that bit, while I was left to putt. Needless to say that we didn't win, although it was fun.
I bought some peas for podding yesterday at Sainsburys, only to discover they have come from the farm half a mile up the road. It's very relaxing podding peas and they look so beautiful. Next year, I am going to grow my own.
I have also been given a large bag of gooseberries. I must admit, I am not a big fan. Does anyone have any recipes for anything involving gooseberries, except gooseberry fool? Share your recipes with me.

PS. If you are in the Bridgwater area and want to have a go at Pitch and Putt, the web link has a £1 off per person offer unti the 31st August.
