Nigella's Jam Doughnut Muffins in photos

I had an urge to make Nigella's jam doughnut muffins this week - I needed the cakey, jammy, sugary loveliness of them.

Here is the recipe posted by another blogger, and this is how you make them:

 1. Mix the wet ingredients (125g milk, 85g vegetable oil and an egg) together, and whisk.
 2. Mix the dry ingredients (200g self raising flour, 100g caster sugar) in a bowl.
 3. Add the wet to the dry and mix. It doesn't matter how lumpy it is.
 4. Oil the muffin/cup cake pan, then add a dollop of mixture, so that it comes to half way up. Add a little jam (I used strawberry,  a seedless raspberry would be more authentic).
 5. Add the rest of the mixture on top. It does spread itself over the jam nicely. Put in the oven at 190C for 20 minutes.
6. When cool, melt some butter and brush over the top of the muffin, and then roll in some sugar.
