February 2014 Recap

I always think that I haven't made much, and most of what I have made this month are small things.

Clockwise from top right:

The Apple Pie Ottoman (or as we would call it a poufee) made from Tanya Whelan's Sew What you Love. I was really pleased at how this turned out, particularly as I was using scraps. It took a lot of stuffing but it was well worth it.

My Coconut and Raspberry cake was a bit of an experiment and is just a twist on a Victoria Sponge.

I had a glassblowing evening at Shakspeare Glass in Langport, Somerset which was a brilliant experience. That I produced something was a complete bonus - I love my mis-shapen dish!

My husband bought me a new bag from a trip to Italy, but as there was nowhere to store cosmetics, I made myself a little make up bag.

The Cherry Blossom clutch was my Le Challenge make this month.

Finally, a Valentines Card made with selvedge.

  1. It's a good idea to re-cap - I might try it sometime, it would certainly make me feel productive! P.s. That cake is ace ;)

    1. Thanks so much, the cake has been completely snaffled up by my two boys. Luckily, I froze some of the leftover icing, so making another should be easy.

  3. Love the use of that selvedge! I always keep mine but do nothing with them

    1. Using the selvedge is something new to me, if you look back on the 14 March, you will see it used again!
