Curious Nature Fabric

My fat quarter pack from Cottonpatch has arrived and I am loving all the geometrics within it. My plan is to make a small patchwork blanket (single bed size), but as I haven't made anything patchwork since the late 1980s, I am procrastinating a little over when I am going to start!

This photo doesn't really do the fabric justice - you can see the pack here.

The plan is a simple (!) square patchwork with an inner border possibly in mustard and a wider outer border. I will update you of my progress, but in the meantime, does anyone have any tips for me?
